about me

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m a Texas native with an unstoppable urge to explore.  I caught the travel bug at a young age and haven’t stopped since.  My travels have taken me near and far, from local festivals to international adventures, and each journey fills me with wonder and gratitude.

Travel fuels my soul, but a girl’s gotta work! I have built a real estate business that supports my travels , and more importantly, provides the ability to balance work, family, and fun.  A life on the road may seem glamorous to some, but I need a home base to mentally recharge.  No matter how far around the globe I venture, I still look forward to returning home…like…a yoyo!

I’d post enough of my travels on social media to calm my anxious mother and let her know I was still alive.  Along the way, I’ve accumulated a group of friends and family that follow my shenanigans.  A lot of my post-trip convos include one or more of the following:

“Where’s your next trip?”

“I love watching your travels!”

“Do you ever work?”

“How do you find the deals you do?”

“I want your life!”

“You should write a blog.”

Well…here I am.  This blog is my way of capturing these memories and sharing them with you—not to spark envy, but to inspire your own adventures. With a mix of curiosity, a bit of planning, and a love for discovering the unknown, I hope to show that anyone can make the world their playground.

I don’t have a background in writing (words can be hard), nor did I quit my job and sell everything to hit the road full time…yet.  I’ve created this with a few purposes in mind:

  1. It’s a way for me to chronicle my life journeys.  My memory is not getting any better, and I have so many stories that I don’t want to lose.
  2. I have tens of thousands of pictures and video that no one has ever seen.  I can finally get them off my phone, camera, and computer and to revisit and share them.
  3. To inspire anyone who feels that they can’t do what I do. I’m here to show you how.  YOU CAN DO IT!

I’ve put my fears aside and created this space.  From solo road trips to an international expedition with 15 friends and family, I have filled the role of visualizer, planner, accountant, navigator, and tour guide.  I want you to use my experiences to dream,  plan, learn, and explore.

Please excuse the mess as I fumble through this new and exciting world.  This site is a work in progress and so am I! I encourage you to contact me or leave a comment; I would love the feedback.   I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures as much as I enjoy the experiences and writing about them.

Keep your hands inside the vehicle at all times, folks. I hope you enjoy the ride ahead.
